Kelly over at River Marine called me this morning. He let me know he was planning to have some of his prostaffers fish Yuma Pro Am as "standby" boaters.
Basically they are not super interested in competing seriously at this club level, but they are more than willing to come out and let a new angler have a chance to check out tournament fishing as needed.
SO!!! Don't be put off by turn out numbers. We got everybody who wanted to fish last year out on the water and with the support of guys like Kelly and his prostaff we hope to be able to do the same this year.
I'll try to mention here and in press releases how many back seats we had open and how many more anglers we could have put on the water if needed.
I'm commited to fish this series as a boater, but I sure would love to have a chance to draw and fish with some of those guys.
