I was just wondering how well those Black lights that go on the bill of your hat from Bass Pro work. Are they good enough for night fishing to not need a big black light that goes on your boat? How is the battery life? Also has anyone tried the Nite III's LED Black Light, it's supposed to be about 5" long, I am wondering if this little thing can be as bright as the other black lights on the market?
Thanks,
Has anyone tried these?

Are you fishing from a boat or from shore.
If from boat I would say you get what you pay for, do not try to skimp. Get the best light on the market, and get two, one for each side of your boat.
I seriously doubt that little light would be sufficient. Plus, you would always have to wear a billed cap.

I just got the $40 LED blacklight that sticks to the boat. Not as bright as my Stan Sloane fluorescents, but really nice, considering it weighs ounces, can nearly fit in a cigarette pack, and draws a weenie amount of power.
Cons-seems kinda cheaply constructed. I know the Sloanes can go overboard & come back working....a couple times anyhow...

It's just a beating.....till you fight back.
