Actually, Chevrolet is more upscale than GMC... nicer interiors and trim, etc. GMC is more geared towards the workforce (fleet) sales.

I think your mixed up on that call tunaman . A yukon is way nicer than a tahoe. GMC always been a nicer upscaler vehicle. Chevy is the VATO ride of Ca.

One other big difference is that GMC doesn't make cars - only trucks, SUVs and vans.

I won't argue here, but a cursory look at pricing reveals that the GMC Sierra pickup has a range of $18,760 - 38,520, while the Chevrolet Silverado ranges from $18,760 to well over $40,000. They're basically the same physical vehicle, with trim differences including the grill, sideplates, and interior trim.

Who cares they both look like crap! Get a ford and you'll thank me later.

:) One difference I have noted - (and has been already mentioned here) I don't believe you'll ever hear a GMC owner say: Why yes, my truck is just like a Chevy" LOL. Go figure.

It costs the same to tow both of them to the shop. I know, I've owned both brands of trucks.
Now it's only Fords.

Well first off Ford SUCKS.... GMC ROCKS....
GMC makes less trucks than chevy, GMC also is higher end than Chevy, as in more bells and whistles. GMC makes only trucks vans and suv's. G.M.C. also holds it's value better than a chevy.
Oh by the way did I say FORD SUCKS.....
Just a reminder ...FORD SUCKS....

Ford = Fix Or Repair Daily

Grew up with fords.

My old man had '66 country squire. Junk
and a '77 LTD Wagon. More junk.

I had a Bronco ll. Ate clutches like my ex eats bonbons.
Also had a '91 Exploder. Went through calipers or rotors every 15K miles, new trannie at 75K, new AC at 60K. Could go on and on about that turd.

4 Gi-normous pieces of crap in a row. Don't have to hit me on the head no more, I got it now.

So now I'm older and apparently wiser...
'97 Tahoe, 200K miles on it and the only serious work done on it outside of regular maintenence was a new trannie at 160K. Got me and the kids to east Texas this Christmas to see the Little Short Fat Kid and never missed a beat.

Don't know when I'll be replacing the tahoe, but when I do, Will get another in a New York Minute. And trust me, I was no GM fan for a lot of years. But it is definitely one of the better cars I have owned. That and a camery wagon. The RX7 was pretty good, but I could only tow the old BPS tin boat with it. Would never pull my 520 Ranger! lol

I think you just didn't like the county squire and the LTD wagon cause your dad would drop you off at school in a GOOBERMOBILE with Fake Vynil wood on the sides. My dad had a LTD wagon that thing could haul *** and we had monroe Hijacker shocks in the back. we had a Ranger tri hull so i know those boats had to be hella heavy.

when we wuz kids we would sit in the back jumper seats in da
LTD wagon facing the driver behind us... how many remember those family trips going someplace you didn't really want to go see???? going down da highway facing the car behind you looking into the drivers eyes and then.......... flipping the bird? then watching them speed by and honking their horns AND my dad couldn't figure out why they were all pissed off, till he caught us..... oh well.

I did that one time, and one time only. I was with relatives in their wagon. Flipped off a biker, and he got pissed and raced around the side of the wagon and bent the antenna. They never did know why he got so bent out of shape.

Same line, different front clip. Chevy is working mans truck, GMC is Luxury. Also they claim the GMC has a better sound package. They also call the GMC a gay mans car that is why Ray has one and the twins are looking into it. I should talk I just steped up. 2007 GMC 3500 1 Ton dually with a Duramax. I love it. You can't go wrong. I think Ray's is pink?

Buying Japanese is probably a safe bet, look at yamaha they don't die!!! I have a Japanese suv here to tow my boat, they work GREAT! You should see all the land cruisers at a tourney towing big bass boats!

Tundra with a bigger tranny? Oh boy!
