WOULD YOU FISH B.A.S.S. OPENS IF THEY CAME BACK IN 08?*NM*
Re: Maybe 1 or 2
The paybacks were pretty bad and they treated us like we were a burden. The only reason to fish the opens is to make the Tour or Classic.
Personally I would stick with FLW, although if BASS had a tournament where I was confident I could do well then I probably would jump in and put-up.

Yes...and they do need to come back out here with the Opens to get the next wave of Western anglers on their tour in the future. Right now 7 of the top 14 in the Angler of the Year race are Western guys! Granted the tour has been on a West Coast swing, but it just shows the talent level because out of the 100 some Elite anglers only a small percentage are Westerners.

BASS has to many Corporate levels and don't really care about the fisherman has a whole. FLW has a better payback has straitline said an are differently fisherman friendly from the ground up.

Too bad we can't combine the best aspects of both. It felt like Nascar was at Clear Lake this weekend, just without the bigger payday. And that's huge bummer for the guys wanting to break in even though I know most can eventually offset it with some big sponsor bucks. There's still alot of great guys who can't dance making some good money out there.

ESPN/BASS & FLW are using two very different models & it’s hard to compare them, since they’re trying to accomplish two very different things, IMO. But, yes, I’d love to fish with BASS if they come back next year. Their pros are awesome & the top prizes for the co’s are bigger.
