Clear Lake April 18th - 22nd?

Hello, All. We're considering hitting Clear Lake April 18th - 25th. We've heard how hot the bite was a couple of weeks ago, but am curious as to how well you think it'll hold up into the latter part of this month. Still pre-spawn fish to be caught? Or, are they pretty much done? Many thx in advance for your thoughts. jb

I would imagine that you will find fish in all stages of the spawn during this time. Of course your larger pre-spawn fish will probably be reducing in girth. I think it is safe to say you will enjoy your stay and will catch plenty of fish, perhaps even that wall hanger you are looking for.

Dont forget to visit Bob Higgins at the Limit Out in Clear Lake Oaks, this is a tackle store and bob is very well in tuned with what is going on at the lake, and has a great stock of California handpours and custom baits!
