renting a boat on clear lake

Post by lowfi »

Hey guys and gals,

I am headed down from the Humboldt area after I get out of school for the semester in mid-May. My father and I are planning on passing through the clear lake area. I think that we are going to spend the night and fish either 1 or 2 days. Does anyone know where i can rent a boat for a decent price (and a decent boat also ) thanks so much for the help. I want my dad to catch some bass. I dont think he ever has before (I think that he is catching the bass bug just from listening to me :) ) Thanks a lot for your time and your tips.

I'd say rent a guide and their boat and their tackle and their gas and their knowledge. You'll catch fish and have fun.

:D

I think I saw Ferndale Resort in Soda Bay had some boats for rent when I was at their fuel dock last week. They have some ski boats and I think a small bass boat as well. I don't know the prices, or if they are only for resort guests.

"I'm going out to fish," Simon Peter told them, and they said, "We'll go with you." So they went out and got into the boat, but that night they caught nothing.

"OK guys, Who brought the banana?"

There's a little motel between Konocti and the Keys (Can't remember the name) that rents bass boats out. Tolling motor, graph and a good size motor. I think I paid $150ish for 6hrs? I can't remember cause it was a couple years ago. I do rememeber that ANY boat rental out there is EXPENSIVE!
