The day I went fishing with Sieg Taylor (BassTraveler)

Once again, congratulations to Sieg Taylor for winning the WON Bass Pro / Am at Clear Lake. I also wanted to thank him for showing me the true potential of how great Clear Lake can be in June.

Besides being insanely cool, incredibly optimistic and positive, Sieg projected a professional behavior and attitude to everyone he encountered. I was all eyes and ears when he congratulated several kids fishing from the shore when they caught a fish, in fact it was hard to tell who was more exited, the kids, the kids parents or Sieg. I was all eyes and ears when he congratulated Stock Options wife for catching a toad in front of us. Mind you, this happened all day.

I had the opportunity to see and hear Sieg's thoughts on many issues. One thing started to resonate, this "Pro" never said one bad thing about anyone the entire day. I have never heard anyone credit other people for where he is in life (his wife and his mentor's) when he could have claimed success buy his own hard work, but not Sieg. Instead Sieg credited all his ability to others, WOW! we really don't see this in society today.

I've been blessed with some great opportunities to fish with some well known Pro's, in my opinion, very few can hold a candle to the professionalism of Sieg Taylor. It would seem that Sieg himself is becoming a Mentor, but knowing him, it will never go to his head. To quote Ray Leyerly "He's got life figured out".

I agree, Sieg is an Awesome Man!! I have had the privledge as you have had fishing with him as well as staying with him at his house (Casa De la Sieg) and his generousity is amazing. His values are spread throughtout his family with his wife Deedrian and Zachary and Makinsee (sorry Sieg if I spelled it wrong). He loves the Lord, Life and his family. There is nothing you can say bad about Sieg. He is a true Professional and everyone here who knows him can see that. Thank you Sieg for me being able to call you a friend and Congratulaions on another big win !!!! See ya soon, hopefully you'll be at the Pro-Teen.
