I was very excited to hear that they "fixed" the problem with them sinking but they still do sink. I bought 6 from Johnny thinking they were good to go, nope. That rubber grommet they put in breaks after the first hookup.

They look good though don't they

Back to Bobby's perfect.

You can say that again. the Spro's do it too. The originals always seem to be the best. Snag Prof.

Gorilla glue because it stays a little flexible. I only have one of those baits, and i won't be buying more, but the gorilla flue worked really well. cut an air slit in the head if the glue seals up the bait to well.

Just bought one from Dave in Tracy and it sinks bad. Not his fault but I thought they had "fixed" the problem also.

my snagproofs sink too. not sure as fast or as often as the r2sea though as i haven't fished that one. i think it may be an inherent issue with the floating frogs. heck, as long i keep catching fish, though, i'll keep throwing those bobby's perfects --- sink or not. :D

Why don't we all send them an E-Mail and let them know how many dissatisfied frog customers they have . The power of the consumer can work wonders ! Mine is sent along with a link to this thread . Here is what I sent

I just purchased 2 ea. River2sea frogs at $8.99 each and they sink after about 5' to 10' of popping them through the water These things are Brand New ! I thought I would give them a try and I am very dissatisfied with their performance or lack of . Here is a link to a thread on WesternBass.com I thought you might want to read http://www.westernbass.com/forum/viewto ... 999#150999 . This would be a great opportunity for your fine company to post to the many anglers and dissatisfied consumers that visit this very popular site as to how your company will stand behind its products and offer an option to the problem .

Yeah don't buy them.... They don't work!

In all seriousness.
I have no less than 20 in my boat and love the step wa frog. I do have to squeeze water out from time to time, but the places you can throw this frog and still walk it makes it a must have in my boat! I hope you all stop buying them.... I need all the help I can get!

I have talked to a lot of pros about this company and all they say is, "they have QC issues". They may have some good baits that work but can’t find that sweet spot.

I purchased one last time but didn't know there was any problems with it till I fished it and it sank right away. I e-mailed River 2sea but they made no attempt to e-mail me back. Needless to say I have never bought a lure from them again. Steve

Yep, I hate to say it, but I bought several of the " New and Improved "
and they sink like a rock...won't be buying any more....back to Bobby's...at least it is easier to get the water out of them...I loved the Step Wa action..but it just takes too much time getting the water out...Tom you will just have to show me at the Rally how to fish them correctly...since I bought them from usacproshop.net...

Seems like all frogs sink eventually...My R2S's are gathering dust...I din't recall them sinking quite as fast as the Bronze eye...

I have a Bronzeye Jr sinking frog. 1st cast, count t down to 3 ft. & retrieve! At least my Snagproofs makes it to the edge of the mat & doesn't sink thru.

I'm gonna try some silicone bathtub caulk.....or give up & put some weedless hooks on my spook.
It's just a beating.....till you fight back.

These frogs never work you should never ever throw them again.
I would never ever fish them.

Really they are the only ones I throw anymore. Just fish them and milk them ever once and a while.

They Suck! Worse frog on the Market. Please PLEASE Don't buy them

haha

Seriously - first - I'm sponsored by no one (but my wife who tolerates my addiction to tourn. Bass fishing).

Normally I wouldn't bother posting to something like this bacause this bait is THAT GOOD. Like Tom says - don't fish it. Better for me if fewer fish see it. However, I think it is that good and you guys who fancy yourselves frog fisherman and haven't bought them will miss the boat if you don't give them a try.

You can fish it right out of the packaging, without having to trim the leg 'nubs' to get the hooks to rotate properly. I popped upwards of 50 Saturday on this frog (I went through 2 that day) and all of them, ALL, had the hooks roated and hooked down deep in the rough of their mouth. They're inhaled.

So yes - please don't buy them. They sink and are no good.

Anyone unhappy with their R2Sea frogs put them in a bag and mark "For Mike Andrews" on it and drop them off at the hook. You get nothing in return, but I will get some killer frogs!

Snag Proof Bobby frog is the best on the market and the only one i throw. I have always used snag proof, and have the feeling that when you have a good thing, it doesn't need to be changed. All these opinions just prove that case. I will let you all buy the r2s baits, and i'll keep and continue to use the snag proof frogs.

the holes that let water in also let air out. they crush faster and with less pressure so they hook up better.

like others have said Ill take any you dont want.

I LOVE the River 2 Sea's!!

Like Joe says about the holes-it allows you to hook up more often-my ratio has went way up. I havent used many frogs that you dont have to squeeze out once in awhile. I can get 3-4 casts out of them before I gotta "ring em out"....thats ok though cuz then I can make sure he aint draggin no moss or anything anyway! You dont like them send 'em to me-I just had my best frog day ever using a R2S,just my .02!

Got a responce from R2S

Hi Randy,

Sorry to hear that. I appreciate if you could be more specific, so that we could investigate further, as we always do when receiving feedback from consumers.

If you deem the baits you bought as defective, you may bring them back to the dealer who you bought them from, and he will decide to take them back or not.

Thank you very much for the lead. I am sure the other gentlemen voicing their opinions there know the normal procedure mentioned in the second paragraph above, as it is a common knowledge among consumers. If they prefer to address to us directly, we definitely will handle their case in a diligant manner.

Best regards

I have caught at the very least this year, 50 bass on River2Sea frogs, 50 bass on Scum Frogs and about that same using the Snag Proof frog, that we also sell, The only difference is the way the frogs lay on the water. They all sink with a few jerk/jerks, both have good hook up ratios; But no problems with any one of them; usually by the time it sinks it is usually out of the strike zone anyway, then use my 6.3.1 Diawa Procaster, reel in cast again and again and again.........River2Sea, quality frog.

Hey JT - I won't be at the Rally - but, I will be at Clear Lake quite a bit between now and then... and I will be throwing the R2C frog a lot!

If you don't like them... use something else... but, you are missing out. Firing that frog under very low docks, trees and into thick tules and still being able to walk it makes all the difference on Clear Lake.

Good luck

Normally, when a new bait comes out I will buy 3 of every color so I will not be waiting for them like the bass trix. I did that with these frogs, I spent like $200 dollars on these darn frogs and I'm very unhappy with their performance. I will NEVER purchase another frog from R2S ever again.
