Went to Vacaville to visit with the youngest son and he just had to take us to Berryessa for a little fun. Went out early, to beat the wakeboarders, etc. and had a good time.. First time on a double seater jetski. Had the wife behind and we did enjoy the morning on the water til around 1130 hrs. then came in. So this old 69 year old has ridden a jetski for the first time and did have fun. But now back to the bass boat.. So I guess I have stooped to being a Water Lice for one morning.. Bill K
At your age, you don't have that many to spare! Don't let it happen again!
My neighbors son-in-law just bought a new Nitro 911cdc and took it for it's first shakedown cruise at Berryessa. All he could talk about was the wind waves, wakes and waverunners going everywhere. As he pulled away, he tried to whip a u-ey in front of the house and the back tire of the duelly trailer curb-shotted from the tight angle. He got his first scratch!
I owned a couple of the original stand-up style Jet Skis years ago. You get a pretty good workout on them. Today I'd buy the sit-down models - more convenience, storage, and better speed and range, too.
You know, with a few guys now fishing out of kayaks to avoid spooking heavily pressured fish, I wonder if you couldn't accomplish the same thing with a PWC. The advantage over a kayak or small pontoon would be normal cruise speed running between spots. If you can work out the practical problems fishing off a Sea-Doo, you might be on to something.

First, brave, I do not know about that, just crazy, but having fun. But let me add, I thought I was in fair shape, with walking/hiking bowhunting, etc. however for the last two days can I feel the muscles in the upper legs, especially going up and down stairs. Second, as to the comments of fishing on one. I have a couple of friends that do just that. They have them rigged for trolling Eagle and Almanor and do fairly well on them. They can get into smaller water and they seem to work well for them. I guess they can be fun and not be to bad on us bassboats. It is just the riders that cause the problems, like anything the person, not the equipment is the trouble. Bill K
