Not fishing relayed but about Afghanistan

Post by Marty »

My nephew is serving in the Army over there and Time Magazine did an article about Afghan National Army which he is one of the trainers. He is mention in the article = Staff Sergeant Robert Paul Rosell. I feel quite proud of him.

I have a son in Kuwait doing a second tour – The boy extend other year – I must have left out something in his early years of training.

Just trying to draw attention that this war is not a one front war. I will be booted down to political section – the one with no hits but I just wanted to let everyone know how proud I feel about my family.

time to nuke a few countries.

the jihadies are calling for a 100 year war, starting on sept 11, 2001.

thats 6 years....we are in for a fight past out lifetimes.

they are allready here, be vigilant. The bottom line is the jihad fighters want an Islamic World, no non-believers.....

wake up...if we are not killing them over there, or better stated willing to fight them in the sand. they will be here to kill us.

No one's booting anything anywhere Marty. You should be proud of your families contributions to keeping our country safe. I'm proud to call you a friend.

As a former active duty marine who has served in the middle east and made sacrifices so we can continue to enjoy our way of life I feel proud of the men and women who continue to protect this country near and far.
Everyone should be (and no doubt is) thankful for the sacrifices and dedication our Marines, Soldiers, Sailors and Airmen make on a daily basis to protect this country. Everyone should thank any military member they meet and respect what they have done for us.

I'll echo what sTony said. Having spent a few hours in a boat with you fishing and talking, I think I can understand how you feel. My thoughts and prayers will be with you and your family. I hope to God both those young men will come home safe and sound.

As a former RECON Marine and mid-east vet, I can tell you that those boys are having the time of their life... they just wont realize it until they get home. I am now 40, and the 6 years of active duty in the USMC were by far the most influential and possibly the best, in my life. Pray for them and be proud... very proud.

They declared war in 1983 when they blew our barracks in Beirut. It was started when the shaw of Iran was hung out to dry by Carter. These guys have been at it with us for 24 years.

We have the best soliders ever. The problem is we have dumb leaders with smart bombs  In WWII we had smart leaders with dumb bombs.

I feel guilty that I dont think about our soldiers everyday and what they are going through, its a shame. The war is gone on far too long and doesnt seem as things are getting better. I wont get into politics and my thought in this thread. I thank your family and ALL our people over there! You should be proud.

Marty;

I was not able to be in the service due to medical problems. but I lost a cousin in the Battle Of The Bulge as a Captain of a B-25 in WW2 and many in my family have served honorably our country in times of war and peace.

Where I have not served my country personally. I am still just as proud of the ones who do. As too your Son and to you Marty I wish you Well and Honor in Duty to our Country.

I just read your post and apologize for not doing so sooner, I thought it was going to get booted as well, Thanks Tony.

I fly my flag daily to show the love and concern I have for all of our fine young men and women serving to keep us safe from harm. I share your pride. I wish I could do more.

I usually include freedom in the paragraph above, but that seems to be getting trampled at every opportunity. I don't want to hijack your thread, so I'm not saying anymore about that.

Good luck out there, and let your son and nephew know there are plenty of us care and support their actions.
I had to come back...I know...
