My Dobyns 807 MAG HSB Swimbait Rod came today! Man, this thing is the Bombdiggity! It has a very similar back bone to a Shimano Crucial 711XH SB rod, but with a faster tip (which is EXACTLY what I have been looking for). But hands down the biggest difference is the balance of this rod. It is unbelievable! I just strapped on my Calcutta 400TE to it and Man, what a set-up! I can't wait to give it a try. This rod is a Hudd Slinger's dream. BoooYaaah!

I have to believe that Anglers Marine will have them at the Bass-A-Thon next month (if they don't already).

I'm glad to hear ya like it already and I would like to hear a bit of a review after you use it for a while. I'm in the market for another swimbait rod and was thinking of going that route. But I changed my mind and having a custom rod built at Eric's Tackle in Ventura. It's coming out sick...wrapped in black and gold just like my Steelers!!

What's a Hudd?

I meant no offense amigo. I keep looking into my tackle box and just can't seem to find one of them ORSO's. I keep hoping that one will just suddenly appear one day. Whadayathink?

I have to believe that this rod will be the perfect match for you SB's, too, Rob.

Hahaha..I didn't mean anything like that and no offense taken. I agree Ron and I'm don't want to keep saying "two more months". We're just at a sticking point where we have to rely on someone else to get a few things done. It's one of those things where the guy we're waiting on is one of the best in the business, but he's busy and we're kinda at his mercy. He's about to get fired though! We're still pushing for a December release right now.
