Lance, if you don't go to Castias to brake her in you may also think about the wood I know its a drive but there are not to many people on it and the speed limit is 35 but this time of year you can run 45 easy for hrs. the lake is small though.

Have fun Braking her in today

Since you won't take my first suggestion on where to go to break her in........go to Piru. No one will bother you there.

Lance,

You might actually want to reconsider all of these options once you look at the owners manual on your ProXS 225. The manual says you need to run minimum 4,000 RPMS + higher throttle variations for 60 minutes to break the motor in. When I ran my Z20 for break in (fortunately at Clear Lake) I was running anywhere from 45mph +.

You might want to make a run to the river or elsewhere so you can let her loose and run the speeds you need to in order to break it in properly. DVL is definitly out!

I don't know... DVL is where I broke mine in "properly"... :D

Of course they weren't so gung ho on enforcement and writing tickets at the time either...

Probably very good advice though, Hutch, although having spoken with Lance last night and knowing he was picking it up this morning, I'd be willing to bet you it's already wet here somewhere in the Southland.

Love the break-in criteria for the Mercury XS motors... short, sweet and (fairly) fast!

He should've gone to Elsinore. Apparently the only person that is ever on that pond is Kramer.....and he don't carry no radar gun or ticket book! Unless you count the note pad and axe he seems use on a regular basis...

You didn't take my advise either. Havasu is the best place to break in a Pro XS but what do I know....
I do know I didn't make the top 40 again
Dam George did I even make the top 200...
Better make it the top 500 for me....
