Oh the wonders of college! You'd think that after 5 years of college I'd be smarter than to go back for another 2

Keep your chin up, it all pays off when you get that fancy paper with the calligraphy writin that says ya did something good!!!

Find a little bit of time to fish, it'll keep your brains in order!

All the best,

I caught my pb in a farm pond in north carolina last year while taking a "study break"

the funny thing was I had a dream the night before I went to that pond and caught a giant on my first cast

I caught it on my second cast but it was still a weird coincidence

I saw her spawnin the year before- atleast two or three pounds lighter- but i couldnt catch her

froze my buns off that day and didn't catch another after a couple of hours of fisihn

that boulder was always good for one er two in that pond

to bad I cant fish it amymore

enough of my rambling though I gotta study for spanish 8)

Lawyer humor, neat! I'd break out some fisheries humor, but probly no one here would get it!!

And for all you yung'ins out there, just wait till you get to classes like Multivariate Biometry and crap like that, its a long road from Geometry and Algebra II

Finals weeks......when the energy drink makers finally get into the black on the revenue charts

There is nothing more important than your education. I know since I took 7 years to complete a 4 year degree. Study hard, get a good job, and THEN worry about the boat and the Loomis rods.

Fisheries Humor.....

It's pretty much all inside jokes, simply because most people don't encounter the terminology in any facet of life. then the other ones are usually just bagging on trout fisherman, but here we go!

A classic opener:
Q: What is the gayest fish on the planet?
A: The don't call it a "rainbow trout" for nothin'!

Alright, now to the stuff no one will get...With translations.

"I'm sorry, there are no retia permitted in my vessel!"
Translation: No nets in my boat!

"I just equilibrated the ionic balance in my immediate environment"
Translation: "I just pee'd in the lake"

Those are the ones I use pretty frequently, I'll post up some more later!

So if you caught multiple centrarchids or other teleosts, they wouldn't be allowed in your boat? As in rete mirabile on the gas bladder?????

And indeed, O. mykiss is what you say it is! That's how it got the specific name. XXxXX or XYxXY, either way. They also have been banned from cannibalism of eggs in the landmark Roe vs. Milt case.

Milt v. Roe...GOLDEN.
And dont forget the famous river crossing case Row v. Wade!!

All Right someone got the retia joke, Wicked!
That whole joke went from net, to "wonderful net", to retia and it just kinda stuck, its really funny when people get it.

And then when the catching goes into a dry spell, the conversation usually goes into the gutter and we start makin fun of each other. After that its talking about changing to the magic baits such as the "Trevor's Man Cherry Spinnerbait" or the "Yo-Mama-moto Senkos" (Trevor, if you read this, I expect and apt defense statement!)

Jokes is good!

Did someone say exam? Did the doctor lie and tell you it wouldn't hurt? Must've been pretty traumatic...

I just finished grad. school last year. I thought it would never end. But now that its behind me, i can say it was all worth it. Having a family while in grad. school is no joke. The easiest part of the whole endeavor was the school work. The hardest part was having enough time in a day. The biggest lessons i learned in college were, how to think about things, how to use your time wisely, and perseverence. Other than that, i dont remember much. If anyone of you young guys is contemplating going another round, do it! You'll only regret it while your in. Than you'll say, " thank God i went back for me and my family!"
