Nitro Boats - WON BASS join forces in 2008

Post by Bill Hutcheson »

For those who wanted to sleep in on Saturday Morning and missed our announcement on Kent Brown’s Ultimate Bass radio show, WON BASS announced that Tracker Marine Group, Nitro Boats, and Bass Pro Shops in conjunction with Mercury Marine have joined WON BASS as official sponsors of the 2008 WON BASS tour.

What this means to you the angler is a shot at 9 boats in 9 events. Starting with the Lake Shasta Open this January 5-6th, each of our 6 Pro/Am tournaments and our 2 Team Championship events will feature Nitro Z7 boat and trailer packages equipped with Mercury 175 hp ProXS motors, Lowrance electronics, MotorGuide trolling motors, and Trojan batteries. These rigs are valued over $30,000 and are provided to our anglers courtesy of our fine sponsors.

Our US Open Pro winner will receive a Nitro Z9 boat & trailer rigged with a Mercury ProXS 250 hp motor to go with the $70,000 cash and other prizes to be awarded at this September.

In addition to this, Nitro is working on the finishing touches of what will be one of the most lucrative, owner incentive packages ever to hit tournament fishing – the Nitro Tournament Rewards program. Details will follow shortly and can be viewed at nitro.com/rewards and on our official WON BASS website at www.wonbass.com.

[quote]Furthermore, in an effort to bring new fishermen into the fold and increase overall participation, Nitro boats is subsidizing WON BASS to provide discounts to first time fishermen entering into the sport. Nitro’s “first time tournament angler programâ€

Jason,

Sorry, but that does not work since you have fished with us in a Pro-am in the past 2 years. This is truly a program for new blood who has not fished the WON BASS events in the past.

Instead of going into the full details, hang tight for one more day and all will be posted on line as well as in this weeks WON BASS.

I am actually going back to Springfield MO tomorrow through Friday to meet with the head honchos at BPS and Nitro. I hope to bring this information back with me and I will of course post the program once I have it in hand.

I'm certain though that there will be something in the program for every Nitro owner.

Hey Hutch,

You might want to take a camera and a fishing rod because Johnny M has two or three ponds in front of their building that are out of this world.

I had a chance to tour the buildings and it is an amazing place and huge. I just remember having to get a bage and security clearance to be in the place. We even walked by Johnny Morris' office. If you think Bass Pro is something, just wait till you see the corp offices.

Have fun.

Hutch so are you goingto trade that z20 in on a Nitro or what? Man you can't be floating the cadillac of fishing platforms and trying to give away a nitro
