Important information regarding the Top Stick Tour Schedule

Post by John Barron »

For those of you that did not want to fish Pyramid in February you're in luck for those of you that did want to fish Pyramid in February sorry I was just informed by Sharyn at Pyramid Lake that even though they said we were more than welcome and US Forestry had approved the land use permit they can not now approve a permit for Pyramid in February. They can not guarantee the lake will be fishable. The water level may not be high enough to even launch.

I am on the hunt for another lake but not having a lot of luck at this point so we will postpone the February tournament and make it up later in the year.

I am not one to cancel tournaments for weather (some of you will remember the Perris Snow Bowl a couple of years ago) or just about any other reason. Unfortunately we were bounced from the lake due to unforeseen circumstances.

As soon as I can figure out what, when and where I will put it on the website as well as post it here.

I apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused but I don't have any other options at this point.

Chris and I are exploring all the possiblities. As you very well know Mike to try to get a Lake Use permits is difficult to do in short order and I will not rush it just to get another date up. The guys at DFG are a great group of guys and work very well with all of the organizations. I want to make sure we plan this right.
Keep the suggestions coming though

I vote for Cachuma in June. I know how hard is to get permits John and that you are trying your best. I didn't want to Go to Pyramid anyway.

H O D G E S! Opens in Feb. Lots of flippin water. New to MOST IF NOT ALL of the Pro's. The beauty of this tour is you are supposed to be versitile, right? No advantage by anyone in So.Cal. Perfect fit. No snow, wind, rain issues. My .02-Rick G.

They would not embelish but they are doing some work where the water needs to be that low. It won't be down long just long enough to mess us up. We are working on it as hard as we can.
Thanks and keep the suggestions coming.

Heck with all of it.
Falcon in Texas. Let's go there. I will get the money together if you do it. If you have not seen the weights you are missing it.
Also get rid of the off limits. Then we can travel easier.

Yea Steve, I didn't see a SD lake last year either. I thought this was a SoCal deal, not Central Coast.

Isabella is kind of So Cal. Just more North East than most of us fish. I think of SoCal as anything south of San Antonio.

Last time I was there was for a Westernbass Team Event and RICH TAUBER WAS THE DIRECTOR. Hear lots of good things about that place lately. The Bakersfield guys have been keeping it quiet though. I would wait till the May-June slot. Rick G.
