Re: Who do you think will win the classic
ME!!!
OK I'm a super longshot but hey the odds are better than winning your average lottery. There's only 50 competitors but when you factor in knowledge and skill the odds are definitely not a mere 50 to 1. I did not get a chance to get on the lake before the Dec. 15 cutoff so I'll have a total of 4 days to figure something out. regardless of the outcome, it will be an experience I'll never forget. Hopefully I represent the western weekend anglers well with a decent finish.

Re: Who do you think will win the classic
I've got two votes of who I'd like to see win...
Gary Klein or Ish Monroe.
Gary's been gunning for the title for (almost or more than?!) 30 years and he really is one of those anglers who can turn something out, even if he is the dark horse. And c'mon, his roots go way back to the west here, Delta, Oroville, etc. he is definitely a legend.
Ish, just gotta root for him. Skeet and Fred are local boys from my old stompin grounds, but old Ish is due for another good win, why not the classic.
Sure wouldn't be surprised to see KVD to pull another win, he needs to catch up with Rick Clunn!

I gotta go with my friend Freddy.

Fred does seem like a good pick - that body of water suits his fishing style. Of course, you can never count out KVD, Skeet or Aaron........

Re: Who do you think will win the classic
good luck mr baskett
it looks like theres a lot confidence in the western anglers....no surprises there
I have no clue because I dont know much about the lake
does anyone know what paterns might be catching them from what I have read it looks like it could be anything depending on the weather

Re: Who do you think will win the classic
Don't get me wrong Parker, but that is true of every lake/body of water..I personally do not think there is a single body of water that only one technique or bait will work..True, it does seem that some are better for one than another, but chances are most will work if applied properly..Most eastern lakes seem to respond well with the basics, jigs, spinner baits and soft plastics..Most of the fishermen that are Classic bound have probably fished this body of water several times..It could be anyones game..

Take a kid fishing, and don't forget about us older kids either..
Re: Who do you think will win the classic
what i ment about the weather was it could be pre spawn spawn or post spawn
i am from the east and what we fished were pretty much the basics that you mentioned[/quote]

The guy with the most weight (fish) will win the classic. Guaranteed.

Re: Who do you think will win the classic
I think Casey Ashley has a good shot, it's his home lake. Im rooting for any west coast fisherman though.
