Three DD's in one day? by one Angler??

Post by Calistar »

I was there folks. I was fortunate enough to witness it.
My buddy Mark and I went down to the Delta on Saturday and Mark came this close ----> <----- to pulling off an incredible triple.

It was especially amazing to me, as I have not been fortunate enough to catch a double-digit fish yet.

In the morning he caught a 10-2.

In the afternoon he caught a 9-14

and he also had one on that was "at least" 12 lbs...that let go of the jig close to the boat.

Assuming 'that one' was a 12 that would have given him about 32 lbs for three fish. Too bad we weren't in a tournament. All three were released immediately in the places they were caught.

The guy was on fire. Certainly a day I will never forget (and I didn't even catch em!)

Congrats to my friend Mark S.

Amazing.

Nice Greg, glad you didn't take me up on my suggestion last week to track down some of those Senko's  !

Glad to here you guys had fun. Great planning as well. I think the wind would of been BRUTAL out there today, but what do I know. I was going out to Folsom today, but decided to stay home and shampoo the carpet  .

The number hasn't changed if you ever need anything my friend.
I had to come back...I know...

The three biggest in this pic were Cooch's. I don't remember the exact weights, but I know that the two biggest were over ten, and the third biggest was 9+, so he came pretty damn close to the tripple DD...

my bad I thought you meant in one day. Twenty is quite a few what's more amazing is just a little poking around and some guys are in the hundreds with a few being on WB

back on topic that's still a great day to know you were in the presence of three fish of a lifetime.

I think Steve Biechman was referring to me. That was my first time out with a new jig rod that Steve had built . I was pretty blown away with how sensitive it was. The bites felt huge and seemed much easier to detect than with my previous jig rod.
