Re: Fluorocarbon for Senkos?
nothing negative to say about fluoro for senkos, and if you fish a 17-20 lb test you'll get a straighter line from your rod tip to your bait because of the sink rates of both the line and lure
Re: Fluorocarbon for Senkos?
Always use P-Line flouroclear, I know not a 100% flouro, but it works best for me and gives me less problems than any other. BIll K

Fun fishing the country, each and every week.

I only fish my Senkos on Flurocarbon. The reason being, much better feel for fishing on the slack line then mono or braid.

I go with a 2' leader on braid. That way I get a good sink and I still have slack line floating on the surface.
Are you flouro guys using spinning or baitcasters? I like to use no weight, so I use a spinning rod. I can't pitch a weightless senko for sheet on a baitcaster.

Flouro on a Spinning reel is what I use for weighless senkos. I also don't like tossing light baits on a baitcaster. I'm just far more accurate with a spinning reel with lighter baits.
I use flouro for basically all my plastics. It gets down better and the feel is much better.

Re: Fluorocarbon for Senkos?
I have been throwing my 5" and up senkos on Sugoi flouro for several years on baitcasting. The 5" senkos have enough weight by themselves for pitching or casting on baitcasters. The flouro is great for sinking with the senko and sensitivity.
When throwing the 3" senkos I usually go to spinning and have good luck with the Pline flouroclear.
If you throw your senkos on baitcasting, I would recomend going with a flourocarbon. I am currently trying the Pline 100% flouro, but haven't used it enough to comment. I know the Sugoi never failed me and I don't change my line out very often. My understanding is the flouro has a much longer shelf life than mono. Which is good, because the Sugoi is expensive.
