Was up there today fishing with Joe Kopp..We tried a little bit of everything, except finesse fishing..Caught one on a jig and all the rest of our fish came on Senko's..We tried fishing around the deeper docks and had no luck..All of our fish came from flipping and pitching into and around the tules..The fish are just starting to move up to the shallows..We didn't try any of the rock piles in deeper waterm but that might be a good idea, if you can find them..

Hey BassMike,
According to Greg's report on this forum (look a little further down)
he was fishing up at Lakeport area doing the same thing, fishing around tules and trees in the water, nothing deeper than 8 feet and Oxblood worms and Red Senkos, he has had luck on two trips in the last few days, he got a 4 and 5 lber on his last trip.

I will be up there the 15-19th but the 10 day forecast says showers, I just hope the urge to eat and spawn are stronger than the weather, I go up once every 1-2 months but this trip was planned to be one year from last years BASS record, just before March spawn.

Every trip to Clear Lake is a possible PB.

Good luck!!

Was out today. Think someone drained my spot before we got there. Showed some internet buddies a few spots to fish. Four of us got 25 fish. It wasn't as hot as Tuesday but it was okay. The lake was alive with boats. Since we had 2 boats this time instead of 1 and were fishing close together, every Tom, Dick and Harry that cruised by thought we were on to fish and came off pad and created waves which knocked the old wheelchair around the pontoon boat pretty good. Who owns a chartreuse bass boat besides kermit the frog? ;-) Then they'd creep in on both sides of us. Soon we'd have 2-4 more boats around. I went all day without catching. My buddies all got limits +. I caught on a 4 p.m. with a root beer Senko and caught a 3, two 4s, and 2 2s.

Red worked for everyone except the disciple of red - me. ;-) I finally caught 2 on oxblood Senkos though. 21 of them came in less than 8 feet of water - shallowest was 3 feet.

I had several good bits on a small revenge rattle jig with a Red/Oxblood Sweet Beaver trailer BUT I SUCK AT JIG FISHING and couldn't convert.

By the end of the year I will be a good jig fisherman.

The biggest difference between Tuesday and today was the sky. Overcast all day - Bright Tuesday.

Tule points and Brush.

i was up there on wednesday i had 23# caught about 15 fish total
i would throw a blade up north around catfish slough i could not get any rip fish or swimbait fish try the mouth of rodman that should be going off soon behind tule island.

also you can catch them mid lake to south carolina rigging, jigs

the bite should be off the hook now with this warmer weather then when i was up there

good luck

There were about 20 boats lined up behind Tule Island on the north shore a few days ago. Someone must be spreading rumors ;) That whole shoreline has never been a big producer, especially of big fish in my humble opinion.
