Yesterday was just amazing for me on the Delta. I had a 1/2day at work and my buddy John Harris and I took off at 10:30 to fish The Delta. My goal was a simple one, a new Personal Best. We launched around 12 at Low Tide, it was WINDY we fished swimbaits for the first hour and nada. So we took off to where I really wanted to flip, pulled up and fished for about thirty minutes and the first bite was my personal best 11.7 Lb Delta HOG.

This fish had room in the belly for eggs, so she either is spawning out (didnt feel like it, or just starting to swell) almost as long as my legs! We then flipped quite a bit more, I cought a 6+ and a 5 on the WADDA jig.

We let the spot cool down and John Harris got into them pretty good with his best of the day topping off at 5.lbs.

Cought a few more flip fish then went back to the big fish area close to the top of the high. Went through the area and landed this 9.10 Hawg

All in all it was a record setting day for me and a trip of a life time, our best five fish went for 38lbs!
Man what an excellent fishery!
Big thanks to Cooch, John Harris, Sacto John and Mike Hara for helping me with my confidence out on this river system.
