Casitas Decal Refund

Got my check for $62.55 today. Mailed it the day of the big decision to close. Nice letter from the staff at Casitas also. Stated that the "staff and Board of Directors" were working on the issue. Perhaps they will follow the Cachuma example? They closed it but don't have to stick with the year long mandate.

I also received my check today. From the sound of the letter it seems like the lake staff is hoping to work out something that would allow them to reopen the lake.

Its not the "left wing tree huggers " who want to close the lakes but the suits at the water angencies who don't care about recreational use. We're going to have to work together, all of us who use the lakes including jet and water skiers and yes us left wing tree huggers, if we want to be able to continue doing the things we love on the water. I think you'd be surprised at how many "tree huggers" fish.
Try writing to your state and federal representives, as they say the squeaking wheel gets the grease. Enough noise from all of us and maybe things might change.
