St. Croix Legend Tournament Flippin Stick vs. Big Gulp
How do these two rods compare (aside from the 2 oz weight difference)? I know they both have the same line and lure weight ratings, but do they really feel the same as far as action and power are concerned? Thanks for any help.

Re: St. Croix Legend Tournament Flippin Stick vs. Big Gulp
I think the major difference between the two rods is that one is telescoping and the other is not. The big gulp is their original flippin stick. Some do not like the telescoping rods, some do because they might not be able to fit it in their boat plus it is made a little more heavy duty for the heavy cover. As for feel I like the Big Gulp, it just seems to me that you lose that sensitivity when you use a 2 piece rod or telescoping. There are those times when you need to feel even the most subtle bites. If you need more detail notes go to www.stcroixrods.com. Hope this helps.
