Just talked my GF into getting me a new lure for my birthday. Question is, Lunker Plunker or Shell Cracker? Which one works for more seasons? I'm thinking Shell Cracker since I fish out a tube most of the time. Any thoughts or suggestions?

I think they are cheaper if you buy two. And I have a birthday coming up too.

The more general purpose one is the Cracker. Now you just have to decide between floating and sinking

The sinking "wakes" better sub-surface ... I don't have one yet ..... But I do got a Custom Painted Punker Jr. in BabyBass by Jeromy thanks to BrothA Mike ! Thanks Again Mike and Jeromy !!

The Floating Cracker did good for Stripers this year .... Just no LM's on it as of yet.

Talking a wife into letting me get a new lure I barely understand. Having to talk a GF into letting me buy a lure is quite foreign. Stay single.

No Doubt Greg - the biggest benefit of being single is NOT ACCOUNTING to someone else in terms of your expenses especially fishing ones

The best thing I ever did (I think) was encourage my wife (GF at the time) to get a hobby that she was passionate about (so that I wasnt it) She took up photography at the time, well that has now moved into scrapbooking and I think less the boat we go about LB for LB in terms of costs

so when she says you bought what! I just look at her and smile and say do we really want to talk about whos buying what?

Yeah, I think Greg missed that part. It's all good Greg. I'm stoked, but decisions decisions.

I agree with you SOCB. First thing I told my GF when we started going out was to find a hobby that will take up her time. My reasoning was/ is that 'we both need to have our own lives away from each other'.

Now she's getting into photography (cost me $700 to get her started) but she's really excited about it now. Next thing is a wine club membership. That way I can get her to go to bed earlier at night so I have time for ESPN/ PS3...

Dan, my bday is this Friday. Birthday backseat?

Git that Lunker Punker HANDS DOWN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You'll use it here and in other places more often with greater success. I mean, just think how often ya toss a Spook in a year? The Shell Cracker is a great bait, but if'n ya gotta choose one of the two fer now, go with the Punker!!!!!!!!!!! And if ya don't believe me, just go watch that video on the .TV side, I've had many days like that with the Punker, never with the Cracker!

I've been trying to ge my wife to be more passionate about the dishes.......no luck so far. Was hopeing it might spread to a passion for cleaning all the other things in our house....

No luck there either.

She does have a mad passion for American Idol though.....god.

I am stoked too. Door bell just rang. Went to door and there is a package from Black Dog Bait. My wife bought me a Shellcracker for no reason (except she says she loves me). They are almost too pretty to take out of the box. Can't wait to fish it. I see a new PB in my future.

Nothing beats a girlfriends that buys you fishing gear! A week ago my girl comes home and had randomly bought me a bunch of fishing gear for absolutely no reason. A couple swimbaits, some brushhogs and a crap load of Gammy EWG hooks in sizes 1/0 to 5/0. She barely knows anything about bass fishing and just went into a tackle store and picked all the stuff out. At that moment, I fell in love.
