Confirmed forty inch 38 Lb.Striper off the Goleta Pier
Last night. One of the third shift guys I work with hooked and landed a Huge striper/ brought it to work and weighed it on the certified scale...I say hooked because he and his buddies use lots of hooks and a sinker.....Swing! Hated to see her get foul hooked and land on all those dinner plates but heck I would have taken a chunk if there had been any left....So when I ask him what he caught it on will he say a Gamagatsu...

Thats right Kelly, I have caught over a dozen stripers at
surf beach in the past few years . the game warden told me
that they come down here in surtin currents from up north
and you get lucky some times and catch them.they weigh
from 2-7lbs.

I used to fish GP all the time when I lived in SB. Never saw or caught a Striper there. Caught tons of door mats, but never a lineside ... I would have loved that!
