Thanks to Bob Myskey and his Dobyns Rods we have a convert!

Post by Big Rick KFOG »

Monday I had a great day on the water with guide Bob Myskey. I love those Dobyns Rods he had for us to use. They are so balanced you don't even feel them in your hand. It is like they disappear.

My friend is a big time outdoors guy, horse pack elk hunting trips, float plane fly fishing trips etc but never bass fishing. This past Monday we went out with Bob and he got some top water frog fish, and lots of sight fishing for bass on beds. He thought it was one of the most fun things he'd ever done. That's a big compliment.

I think he's hooked!

I'd never ever seen Clear Lake so clear. The education Bob gave us on not only how to catch the fish but the science of what we could see on the beds made for a really fun and information filled 8 hours on the water.

Another fun day on Clear (no really it was!) Lake

Sounds like a great time. You had an awesome guide. Bob is not only a great fisherman at Clear Lake, but as you said, he's a great teacher. First rate guy, first rate personality!! Ditto on the rods as well, unbelievable balance!!! Good luck on your next trip.

Hi Rick,

Bob is an awesome guide, one day I was fishing Shag Rock on Clear Lake and he was also and his clients were doing very well catching fish so I went up to him and asked what he was using and he told me with no problem and even gave me a few!!! I have been using that worm ever since.

I watched him watch his clients and coach his clients and he never picked up a rod, that was nice to see.

God bless and tight lines.

I have spent time with Bob on the water and you've got to love a guy who has a passion for this sport. He knows how to find the bass and he knows what they are chewing on...book a trip! Call him...
