Don't really need one either. My boat is wet 24/7 and if you want to find a mussle at the lake my toon has been rotting away at Casitas for eons. I like park'n it and drive'n home.

I assume you're waiting for an inspection? Have you called them recently? They have gone through some 600 or so people so far and yes, some of the original people on the list were skipped and not even called. Call 805 797 3314 and talk to Ranger Jeff, he has been VERY helpful to me so far.

Sounds like Dave was one of those? Did he ever get his "place in line" straightened out, or did he just say "screw it" since he's also heading to Clear Lake for the HBC? I'd be raising heck either way!

BRO, I HAVE CALLED A COUPLE OF TIMES. I THOUGHT THE SAME THING I CALLED THE OTHER MORNING A ONE GUY SAID THEY WERE DONE. CALL RANGER JEFF THEY MISSED YOU. LEFT A MESSAGE NO CALL BACK SO I CALLED THAT AFTERNOON AND SOME YOUNG GIRL SAID THEY WERE ON 400. THAT WAS LAST WEEK, I CALLED TODAY THEY ARE SILL IN THE 400'S. THATS WHAT THEY TOLD ME LAST WEEK. THE GUY AT EXTENTION 7 SAID THEY HAD 12 INSPECTORS AND ARE GETTING AROUND 90 INSPECTIONS EACH SATURDAY. GUYS IN THE 300 WERE INSPECTED 10 DAYS AGO AND THEY MADE IT TO 300 IN 10 DAYS GO FIGURE. I GUESS THEY BLEW THEIR WAD NO ENDURANCE. 400 STILL, DOES NOT MAKE SENSE.

I'M NOT TRYING TO BAG ON CASITAS, I'M JUST BUMMED THAT THE BOAT SITS THERE. I WISH I COULD GET A GOOD IDEA OF WHEN SO I COULD MAYBE FISH ANYWHERE ELSE. MY BOAT HAS SEEN CASTAIC FOR 1 HOUR IN A YEAR AND A HALF. CASITAS WILL BE TRIP TWO. THE GUY AT CASITAS ON EXTENTION 7 SAID YOU GET A CALL WHEN YOU GET A CALL.

they are in the upper 400's.
You can just show up and get er done.
I'm sure you know the drill, dry, dry dry. They will blow air through your plumbing, and make sure your engine doesn't drip when lowered.
They don't even check to see if you're in order, or what number you have. Just show up and get in line, if there even is a line...

I was there at noon for mine today. Only took 10 minutes for the inspection..but the "good natured" harassment from one of the deputy rangers through me off a little...I swear that "Iraqi Hydrilla" wasn't there when I wiped my boat down this morning!!

I was there for about 30 minutes and was the only boat for inspection so it shouldn't be too big of a deal
