I have never tried the P-line Halo or any of their products for that matter. I have been useing the Trilene 100% flourocarbon all year and have had no problems with it. Its very sensitive super strog and great with abrasion resistance. I hope this helps!

I put Halo on my flippin' stick for jigs this year and love it. Awesome stuff. All around great qualities to it. Its particularly supple out the package, but very abrasion resistant. I'm using 20 for my stick . It is a bit easier to see too, kinda helps when the fish are just barely ticking the jig on the fall.

trilene all the way! you will be flat out amazed at how strong this stuff is. especially 17#. try tying a double improved clinch or a san diego knot...the only downfall about this line is that you are going to have a hard time breaking off when you get snagged!! hahaha..enjoy!

Dont waste yer time with trilenes fluoro. Worst crap i have ever used in my life. Supposedly they "made it better" but ill never buy that junk ever again. I could snap that garbage with my bare hands. Sugoi seaguar and sunline is the only fluoro ill use.

Dang Jeremy, that is not at all what I have experienced with the new Trilene flouro..But I do have to say the other two you mentioned are excellent although costly..I really like the Sunline Sniper, haven't tried the Shooter yet..I use a lot of Seaguar also and have had no problems..I think they are all good..Each has its own niche..

Mac- Go easy on Jeromy -- He was in the paint room till 0240 last night trying to finish stuff for his LL BrothA's.

I LOVE the #17 Trilene and am overspooling it on top of my old Segular #20 as it goes. (Picked up another spool at The Hook today even.)

Awesome Stuff !

I have the #20 Trilene 100% one reel ..... But I think it is pure overkill as these fishies don't have a chance already with the #17!!

I personally think it gives Sunline Shooter a Serious run for the money -- and it is 1/2 the price.
You know, we always called each other goodfellas. Like, you'd say to somebody: "You're gonna like this guy; he's all right. He's a goodfella. He's one of us." You understand? We were goodfellas, wiseguys.

Thanks guys, I went with the Halo, I'm gonna give it a try first. From what I heard it's about 50/50 so I'm guessin its mostly just person preference, I will give the Trilene a try when this spool runs out tho and commit to one or the other.

The reason Skeet Reese was breaking fish in that tournament was because of mussel's. That had nothing to do with the line whatsoever! I believe he was even using 25 pound and still breaking fish, but the only reason is because it would wrap around a log that had mussel's all over. If you have ever fish around those little critters you would know that they are like a knife to fishing line.

Hey come on justin, mussels or not he was still using trilene flurocarbon and I do beleive if he was using p line flurocarbon his line would not have broken like it did. Trilene should stick to making trilene

Trilene Flouro!

I find it's not as stiff as the P-line and still tough as nails. I do still have a leftover spool of P-line that I've been using for leaders, but the Trilene kicks buttocks!
