I "think" it's shudder shad. Not positive. I seen them in several shops in Texas. They will make their way here hopefully in about 5 years. Check Angler's Lodge in Del Rio Texas or Delos Custom Tackle Shack. He does web sales @ deloscustomtackleshack.com He is a heck of a nice guy.

Hey E.K.,
The company that makes it is called Xcite Baits - they're out of Texas. Hope this helps.

Are you guys sure that is the bait? I havent seen the Xcite but know Deps sells a bait called the shudder in japan only. Its a wedge tail type of bait but smaller than a huddleston and in traditional hand pour colors. Only place i have seen them is on ebay.
Big baits,big fish,big smiles!!!!!

Is it a soft plastic shad with a chatter blade in front of it? I think I bought some at the BPs in Vegas. they may have them online.

Strike King is coming out with a bait that sounds just like it.
Shaw fished it on his show.

The one shaw fished is called "Pure Poison" from Strike King.. with a fluke style bait for a trailer. It's essentially a chatter bait. He was catching Snook on it in the everglades.
There is a bait called the Shudder Shad and its pretty remarkeable - I know several big name guys on the west coast who have been catching them pretty well on it.
We have LOTS of them on the way now. Best thing about them is they are inexpensive... and catch fish!
We will have them online for sale on Monday, Tuesday at the latest (that is when they arrive)

I've been looking for them too. Heard they have amazing swimming action. Waiting for a shop in Cali to carry them. They sure are priced right.

Berkley makes something called a manic shad.

Check out March or April's Bassmaster (I think). Iconelli shows a different way of rigging these.

That photo sucks Splash. I'd dang sure not buy off that photo. The bait really is awesome and if a friend was not the rep, I would've never said a word about it. It's that good. Outdoor Pro has them.
