Looking for some talk radio while I was camping this weekend I found a station that was playing this Savage moron. After listening to him off and on for several days I discovered the guy is a real idiot.

The other day he actually suggested that this country go into Mexico and take there oil. He thought we should just take it for reparations because of the illegal alien problem. We can't even seal our border with Mexico now, what is going to happen when we make an enemy on our southern border.

I can't actually believe that several of you suggested that this jack-*** run for president. I thought you were just mis-guided but now I think you just don't have a clue.

Like anyone, he has his good points and bad points. His radio show can be over the top.

So, what is your solution to paying for illegal aliens? Should you and I continue to see our tax monies spent on services for folks paying nothing? Should we continue to see our schools bankrupted because of english as a second language classes? What about our hospitals closing? To break it down small, how about you, me, and 6 other guys from this forum go out to dinner every night for a month. Now two of those guys will never pay a dollar; the bill for 8 will be split 6 ways every night. When will that start to piss you off.

His oil for illegals idea is just one idea. Something needs to happen before every hospital and school closes. It is not the people coming here's fault, it is the government of Mexico for running a croupt nation and or government for their greed.

If you listen to savage more, you will enjoy his jokes about "the golfer" (Rush) and the Leprecon(O'Reiley) and "Pawn Vanity" (Shawn Vanity), and the "Fixed News Network" (Fox news). Just him making fun of those dopes is worth it!

I don't know the solution to the Mexican problem but I do know that invading Mexico and taking there oil is NOT the solution (at least not yet).

The thing is if you actually listen to guys like Savage and Lush Rimbaugh, they say some of the most ridiculous things that are just plain lies. I mean I heard Lush say something on Friday that was so stupid I had to laugh. These idiots throw out things with numbers and statistics they must just make up in their feable little minds.

I have been listing to him since he came on the radio ten years ago. some times he make me so dam mad i cant see straight, but most time i find a kernel of truth in what he says.

At least he's not a politician running for office saying what they think you need to hear so ya vote for em.

I think a wall would be better than a war, but Savage is a "Shock Jock", he says extreme things to make a point. Much of his program is full of satire and sarcasm. If you listen regularly you know the difference. If you dont listen, then your really just name-calling based on a few isolated quotes put out by Media Matters.

The thing about Savage, and the reason I listen regularly, is that he just calls it as he sees it. He has his own opinions and I have mine, but most of the things he says is just common sense. He says the things MOST of us are thinking. Why do you think he is so popular? How can a no-name disgruntled scientist from Northern California become the third largest force in talk radio? I have been listening to him, off and on, since he began in radio and I can tell you that he is correct ten times more often than he is wrong. His message on "Borders, Language & Culture" is right on! I, for one, am sick of pressing 1 for english. I am sick of the illegals sucking our system dry. I am sick of the gay mafia eroding the foundation of our culture (marriage).

I know (or suspect) that Fish has good intentions, but the whole "Democrat=good / Republican=bad" thing is killing this country. Not all republicans are rich bible-thumpin, anti-abortion extremists. Most of us work for a living and dont like to see our tax dollars stolen from us so that carreer welfare queens can continue to get a check, and illegal aliens can get all the free services they want.

Listen to Savage for one week and you will change your opinion of him. You may not agree with him, but you will understand where he comes from.

My buddy just told me his illegal alien friend (Brazilian) is retiring and going back to Brazil. She had chance after chance to file for amnesty and citizenship and never did. She wasn't in the country but 11 years.

She retiring and getting full social Security Benefits. He worked 40 years and was born here and she'll be pulling down about as much as him.

Quite a system we got going here.

I think we could send in a good platoon of marines and take Mexico but that is not the point. My point was that going in and taking the Mexican oil forcefully is not the american way. Also we don't need an enemy on our border that we can't control. Now if our country was in dire straits and on the verge of collapse then we could revisit this subject.

As far as listening to Savage I do as much as possible and on some points I agree with him but when he says something so off the wall and insulting to people with handicaps I do take issue. Just the fact that he is a "shock jock" or the 3rd most popular on talk radio does not give him a free pass. Just like you and I, Savage has to own up to what he says. Did he mean it like it came out I don't know but he still insulted thousands of parents and children to back up his point about kids being mis-diagnosed.

You are right about "Fish" having good intentions though . I can also agree with you on the fact of divsion of this country but I think that really heated up in the 90s when Clinton was elected and the republicans went on a witch hunt. Also, with the likes of Lush Rimbaugh, Hannity, Savage and others spewing so much venom and hatred toward anyone that does not agree with them, that, I believe is what is dividing this country.

I agree with both of you about the dem vs. rep thing. It seems as though there is not much meeting in the middle. 99% of each group will side/vote with their group just based on their affiliation. That's not what I consider looking out for America.

I've been listening to Savage for about 6 years now. I just like the show. Although I do agree on 75% of what he says, he's just entertaining. I'll take him over Rush and Hannity any day. I've tried to listen to 960 AM to try and balance things out, but it's hard when you don't agree with most of what they are saying. Then there is Randi Rhodes (basically a left Michael Savage). Tried to give her a shot, but I can't even tolerate her.

I'm a replubican, but don't agree with all their stances. My biggest concerns are:

1-Gov't handouts- Sure there are situations where it is necessary, but 90% I'd say is just frivalous (sp?). If you can go down to the welfare office and apply you sure as hell can go to an employer and apply. At this point there are so many people that feel entilted it's rediculous. I am a property manager and the people I deal with on housing piss me off! So you're rent is $1900 and you only have to pay $150 of that...and you still can't pay your rent? Seriously? And you just showed up in a brand new Escalade?

2-Doing nothing about Illegals- What country allows such blatent disregard for the law? Not to mention the costs associated with it. Some illegal can go get medical treatment anytime since it's against the law for a hospital to deny them. But my mom on the other hand has to keep working just to pay her $750 a month medical coverage? Which is so high partly because of these freeloaders. When our families came to this country long ago they actually had the respect to learn our language and adopt our culture (whatever that is now a days). Now we're forced to learn their's?

3-Foreign "Assistance"- We're sending how many BILLIONS of dollars to Africa for aids???? I could have sworn we had an aids problem here...hmmm guess I'm mistaken.

I guess what it all boils down to, for me, is that 40% of my families income goes to pay for all that BS.
