Ive lost my hearing !!!!

I got an infection in my right ear on an elk hunt and called the specialist for an appointment right away. They told me it was a 2 week wait. Saw the doctor and he said I lost 40% of the hearing in my right ear and he could have saved it with steroid therapy if I would have come to him earlier!! He was uncomfortable when he found out his people cost me my hearing. Get it looked at asap and good luck.

What Ringer said!! Get to the doc again YESTERDAY! This just happened to my stepmom. Timing is everything for appropriate treatment.

good luck with that Mark - hope its just a temporary thing and you get back to normal soon.

i know as a kid i lost almost 70% of my hearing due to severe allergies that were affecting my nasal and hearing cavities. it was pretty scary as a kid, so i can relate to your situation.

After 5 years of weekly shots and a lot of therapy, i got most of it back, but my wife says i am still hard of hearing. Guess i now have "selective" hearing.

Keep a positive attitude and Good luck tomorrow with the doc.
