Is two weeks too long to get a boat repair appointment?

Post by Bill kizer »

Pre fishing for the Nutcase, I sucked some weeds into my motor. Water pressure dropped, long story short, I'm home waiting to get the problem fixed.

Is this normal?

I understand two weeks for normal service, but a total breakdown?

Not Bending any Tules this weekend, or for two weeks for that matter.

Be happy with 2 weeks...later in the fall it may be closer to 3 or 4

It didn't blow up, I got what I think is low water pressure. If I go above 2000 RPM's the warning horn comes on. Tried to flush it at home but it still does the same thing.

Not a professional, but clogged or bad impeller

Bill,
Sorry to hear about your motor. Try taking off the prop, to see if there isnt any line or weeds stuck in there. It can also be a bad impeller like Scott said.

Doesn't matter, if something entered there and is causing an obstruction, water pressure will be affected

Not yet...KCRA channel 3 is getting ready to do a report about it in a few minutes. The header stated not to expect to take your skis. It would be too much to ask that they have grown a brain and banned skiing on the lake after it reaches 400' in elevation
