I think he is referring to the Lake Mead Champion Tournament. I've heard it was cancelled this year. Go up to the Champion owners event at Clear Lake in a few weeks. It is going to be a blast.

It was cancelled - they don't say why.

I heard the dealers were not going to work it this year and participation last year was only 76 boats. Official answer was economic conditions.

Not enough sales to warrant giving away more product. Pretty simple. The other dealers in the midwest and south are running their own events with "limited factory participation". As is no boat giveaway's. The Bobs event is a fun deal and only cash and prizes are given away. Clear lake is a much more fun venue than Mead anyway. Buy more Champions and they will return IMHO. I wish Rick G. Could always use a bigger boat, Unfortunately the 188 is going to have to due for a long long time.

I was hopin to make it out to Mead this year to attend. 5.5 hr. drive or 10 hr. drive... hmmm...

Would have loved to play deal or no deal ala Anglers Marine-style.

6lbs for a limit or a limit of 6lb fish. No brainer, make the drive. Rick G.

Was at CL last month for 6 days and it's a really good bite. Hard to get the time off and still keep the 8-5 gig.

Sorry Daren if you took offense but getting cheated at the casino and dodging target practice from the shore while idling in to the marina a few days tends to jade you to a place.

I did not take offense directly, and I am sure you did not mean it the way is sounded when I read it...but none the less, I am sure there are more native americans on this board than we all realize.

How about hot women that visit casinos? Maybe they should also be offended by the guys that choose Clear Lake?
