Congrats to Shaun and Justin and sorry to Ricci

Congrats to both Justin and Shaun. I am lucky enough to call both these guys my freinds and couldn't be more happy for bothof them. These two are true professionals and are great news for the futuire of are sport.

As for my Open blunders I must apologize to Chris Ricci for the missed oppurtunity in winning the open. Due to some confusion on are wiegh in time we came in with the wrong flight. The worst part is we sat outside the tire reefs for the last 15 min or so to insure we got in on time. With are sack Ricci wins the OPEN on the AM side. Itwas a fun day fishing with him, he is always up beat and when I suggested something he tried it. We had a good day, caught a good sack and all but my blunder made for one of the best days w/ a co I have experienced.

On a side note sorry to Justin, Shaun, Jay, JP and my friends for the let down. I never gave myself a chance this year even though I was on them to possibly close the deal.

Mike Folkestad, Dean Rojas, Mike Iaconelli and even Kevin Van Dam have suffered catch disqualifications in the past. Such things are part of the game; the good ones put stuff behind them and come out even stronger.

At least you dodged the lightnings

I know for a guy like you to mess up another guy's tournament, your AAA this case,,,,it hurts more than when it happened to yourself.

I really wished those guys whose names were familiar to me did really well including you,,,,but there's always NEXT TIME.

No lighting strikes this time! Lightning, wind , astroids ect typically are not even a factor. 99 percent of the unfortunate events that seem to fall in my lap are preventable. Preparation, focus, women and my own person are primary reasons I am where I am in fishing. Truth is,not to sound cocky all I have to do is focus, When I want to win and finish well I do.

Kevin itwas a little crazy how many blow ups on the big bait we got at Castaic/Top Stick withoiut one sticking..

The first step in going forward, is recognizing where you went wrong to begin with. You know how to focus. You've won too many derbies to just be lucky. Get on that line and follow it. Girls are for the weekends, but not the same weekends as derbies.
