Wow.. I went out to folsom today. 5 hours one undersized spot. I have the feeling I was the only one having this kind of day. Fished around browns ravine and the mouth of the river arm. Dropshot and cranks. That was the only fish I had bite today. What did I do wrong?? Fished deep points, shallow rockpiles.
P.S. I did fish across from kent brown( i was the kid in the toon) that was pretty interesting to watch him fish.
Folsom Sunday.. Help
Re: Folsom Sunday.. Help
you guys were on a really good area but I had a tough time finding them over there too. I was fishing a little deeper than you guys and caught a couple of small spots over there. I can't figure it out one day they are all over that spot and the next day is like they never live there.
My partner and I won the ABA event today with a little over 15. Caught most of them on a 1/2 ounce green pumpkin jig a Norman DD22 and one fish on a Hud 12. Most of the fish came on the breaks from 15-30 feet. I hope this helps. Next time say hi!

The last few weeks that spot has been really good to me. Just couldnt get it going today. Took my friend out to fish and he really wasnt into it, so I got a little distracted. It wasnt as cool as I thought it would have been today either.

Your pontoons are cool and looks like you guys could get around prety good out there. Lots of fish around the Granite Bay launch so you may try over there soon too.

KB,
We also saw you guys today coming back from the south arm. We were fishing Dike 8 when my friend said, hey that Kent's boat. That lake is so quiet that we can recognize your voice from a 100 yards away. We found most of our fish in that 20 to 25 foot range on drop offs. The spots were mixed in with the smallies. I'm a Delta rat at heart and am excited when you mention crankbaits on Folsom. What colors work best there and how deep were the fish you were targeting? Also are there better areas for the hula grub setup?

yea that boat is pretty hard to hide. Probably the 6" logos down the side. Was fishing a shad pattern crankbait, don't know the official color but a silver glitter with a greenish back DD22. The hula grub we fished around any of the breaks from15 - 30 feet. Fished a 1/2 ounce head but will fish a little heavier later in the fall and winter. Lake is pretty quiet out there. There were quite a few fish around Dyke 8 too.
