It could be that the Bass know when its a woman and when its a man. Maybe the bass make it easyier on the women or making it harder on the women when it comes to fishing, who knows. But its clear that the "higher ups" that started the WBT know something that we dont about the behavior of bass.

Kim is Classic bound! Awesome. Good for her, she cut her teeth fishing our West Coast events for years now in the Classic. Awesome story!

Personally, I don't think it is that they are not considered equal or anything like that....I think that there just aren't enough out there competeing. Can you imagine the numbers if there were more women entering our west coast tournaments? Seems like a pretty big (untouched) market to me....

i dont understand the need for seperate tours. I really dont. Wanna fish the elites? qualify through the OPENS wanna FLW the FLW qualify. I for the life of me cant figure it out but Congrats too her. It would be cool to see her fish the OPENS and see if she makes the elites.

Like N.A.R said,
she cut her teeth fishing our West Coast events for years now in the Classic.
This is my point exactly, she didnt use the "I'm a female" crutch not to compete against Men on a regular tour. The true measure for Kim or any other Women is when they compete against the best that Bass fishing has to offer, not when competing in politically correct Pee-Wee leagues such as the WBT

What pisses me off more than anything is groups like N.O.W. that cram the politically correct idea that women are "equal" to men in every aspect, but still support the double standard ideas like the WBT when its only convenient for them.

Kim is a great stick and I wish her the very best. But my admiration for her came because she competed with the best on the West Coast, not the WBT.

Yes Kim did compete out here and did qualify for the Open Championship and FLW Championships as a co-angler and did quite well and did a great job competing with the guys. With that being said she has won two fully rigged boats, a Toyota Tundra and a trip to the Bassmasters Classic as the first woman qualifier ever in the WBT. They put those prizes up for grabs and Kim grabbed her share. If fishing is a business Kim just proved she is a pretty good businesswoman......
