Bald Bros. Night Series

Post by Brian Linehan »

I think you guys might like what Kevin and I are doing this year. We're basically running a 5 tournament circuit that's only $100 total to enter. All of the tournaments are night tournaments. The first 2 events are at Perris and starting in June, the last 3 events are at DVL. I'm sure the lake will be open by then.

Paybacks will be 100% as usual.

We're running these low cost tournaments because of the state of the economy. All of us started tournament fishing because of our love for the sport and competition. That being said, why not compete if it's only going to cost $50 per team member to fish for big money? In addition, fishing a night series at Perris and DVL will be unique, cheap, and fun as heck.

Our first tournament will be at Perris on Saturday night, March 28. This will be the first Spring night tournament that I've ever hear of so it should be interesting.

Anyways, look for more information in the next month. Feel free to call if you have any questions.

This looks cool, night time is the right time......price is right......
and the total purse is returned :D :D

500$ for 5 summer night events very resonable and an attractive LURE!!!!!!!!

This is a great concept and I know it will work well in fishermen's budgets.
Brian and Kevin worked very hard to do this and have come up with something unique for the anglers.
Good luck guys and I know with the Brothers running it that it will be a success and a lot of fun for all fishing.

Hey Brian,

Is that 100% after permits, insurance, plaques and you are doing this for free right? Whats the fish off look like. I am signing for all five. Maybe Eric's Momma will fish with me. If not I will get someother hooker.

No, 100% of the entry/option money will go back to the anglers just like when I ran 100% BASS. I already paid for the permits so I'm not going to "nickel-dime" the anglers.

Like everyone else, We'll charge for insurance, night permit fees, and a small membership. That's the only way we'll make a buck or two.

As for now, no plaques and no TOC.

People don't even show up for them anymore anyways.

Sounds like a great idea.Mickey we doing them my boat at Perris and yours at DVL.The price is just like the SWBA and the turnouts should be the same.It looks like I am gonna have to dust off the bass rods in march.

Hey Al-

I don't have the dates in front of me right now, but I know for sure that our first 3 dates don't interfere. I'll check into the remaining 2 dates for you.

See you in the bay. I think kev and I will be out to donate.

Take care,
Brian

Donate?I aint falling for that one, remember I fished against you guys for a long time at Perris and donating was not an option to often for you two.Plus with the # of teams that will be there the payout should be deep.Looking forward to it already and its 3 months away.as it gets closer lets go hit the bay and do some prefishing,I am 5 minutes from the ramp.

One thing I failed to mention guys is that the Perris tournaments will be 8 hour tournaments! None of this 6 hour Summer stuff. If I'm going to go through the trouble to hook the boat up and drive to the lake, I want to get a solid session in, not 6 hours.

Therefore, I'm planning on starting the first two tournaments at Perris at 3:00 PM so you guys can catch the last 2 hours before sunset and end the tournaments at 11:00 PM.

Also, the first two at Perris will be a 5 fish limit. The 3 fish limit stinks at DVL because all of the weights are the same. 5 fish will be unique.

Last, it might be a little chilly on March 28, but the "Big Girls" will definitely be fat and spawning. It will be interesting to see if they eat at night.

With the low entry and decent turnout, the payback will be really good for sure. Out goal is to go "Back to the Basics," run an affordable circuit for you all, and bring back the fun to the So. Cal. bass fishing scene.

The spotlight on the bed fish is OG. Night bite is good all year long. End of March @ Perris should be real good. I'll have to check these out

They have not released the details for that one but it sounds like a midnight start and 8 am weigh in.So yes and no,you will be able to fish anywhere and my strategy is already being laid out, fish the wall till 4 or so and then hit the boilers for the sunrise bite. You and the old man should come out and fish them all im sure you guys have acces to a nice rig  ,would be great.I keep telling people how much fun they are.And you would be amazed at the paybacks for only $100 entry and a $20 big fish option. This year looks like its gonna continue to grow. Not to mention the killer catered food after each tourney and the huge raffles with rods ,reels etc.Imagine fishing a tourney with 60 to 70 boat average and going up!
