Thanks Rich for going to the trouble to provide this information,

Folks always wait for some body else to carry the ball, to just fish and not get involved in political issues. Folks on this forum need to recognize the vital part they play in california's sport fishing industry and make themselves heard by their elected representatives. Become a pest, tell them all, over and over, the California water grab has got to stop !!! The Delta must be preserved !!!

Well, for one, if this initiative makes the June Ballot.......vote No, and urge/educate everyone you know!

There truely is power in the people. Worst thing about this crap is that almost the entire state south of Fresno will vote for it......the thirsty bastards! :D

we need to spred the word about this. i just did a big project on the shortage of water in the delta for a college class. none of the other students knew about the delta's troubles not even the teacher. i think we need to get get a strong polititian who will not let the wildlife get torn apart in order to promote growth or spark the economy.

my two cents

Thanks Rich.

This is really smelly, just like politics always seem to be. I believe it was in the first week of last June, that Arnie signed an order proclaiming that we were suffering drought conditions. Where were the orders to conserve? Why weren't low flow shower heads mandatory?

This answers some of my questions, and once again strengthens my trust in those we elect  !

Great idea to copy this and send it out in a mass email. I can't wait to here from my relatives down south.
I had to come back...I know...

A couple of months ago Contra Cost Times wrote a artical about the water grab an shuffle that was going on with exports to the underground storage in Bakersfield and how it was sold back to the state at a profit !

Then this, I personally don't appose more water storage, along with realistic conservation of our natural resources. but to put in a canal and call it any thing but a means of sucking the delta dry so Southern Cal can have more is a bit much.

Thanks Rich for the heads up!!!!!!!!

Southern cal is already abusing our delta .with two canals flowing the wrong way. Water is ment to flow the way God ment it to be ,for a reason. It protects our fish and wildlife. I think the reason for the bad salmon counts are directly related to the water flow in the delta. Salmon are the most fragile fish in the delta, what is next our bass. Dont vote for any body who supports taking any water from the delta. Tell your friends what is happening . Taking our water is killing our fish.
