One of the greatest things about this river is it's versatility. As it clearly states on my Website, I am a fisherman. In as much as I love and prefer on a day in and day out basis, love to fish for black bass, I still and will always get great thrills outa catching a wide variety of species that provides me the fix I need every day. I love catchin Crappie, giant crappie, and have always traveled to ClearLake ta do so. And much like Clearlake, as I am discovering, the fall bite here can be tremendous once ya figure them out, or stumble onto them like some I know! HAR!

I've always loved fishing the fall and winter here because of the diverse fish catching oppurtunities, and finding the Crappie here, is ever bit as good as traveling to Clearlake. So yeah, when the black bass bite git's tough, we are just a bunch of fish catching machines here at Cooch's Fishing! And you can't imagine how much fun four boat full of guys had, blasting that school of slabs yesterday!

Slabside Tacos! Yeah BABY, but I'll stick to the pan fried slabs, ain't nothin compare to Striper tacos!!!!!!

I really gotta send a big thanks ta Dee Thomas though, in as much as he's taught us all so much about bass fishing, He's the one who kept that fire alive inside of me ta figure out these slabs too! I just hate it when that great ole man has all the fun!

Please remove the crappie scraps from my ice chest Cooch, it's not funny.

Nice catch though, too bad we're not weighing in crappie next week, I've decided to remove that species from the list and added Sacramento perch instead.
