Oroville Stren pre-fish opportunity

Post by brentdeaner »

I will be kicking off my first season as director of the ABA Oroville Region on January 11th. Just in time for a little pre-fishing for the Stren. You're going to be there anyway, might as well make some money at the same time.

We are not sure where we will be launching yet.....there are rumors that Bidwell may be ready by then. If you have any questions about sign-ups, fees, or launching, please don't hesitate to call me.

Hope to see you there,

If the ramp is done at Bidwell, I'll be there. Otherwise............

I agree, Ive got a nice new scratch on my boat from the last event. I wont do anything without a dock anymore.

I agree that having no dock makes it less than ideal........But not impossible. Angler's Choice recently had a tourney with over 40 boats......so it can be done.

We are all working with what we have, and doing the best we can. If it was up to us, the fishermen, of course we would have a dock there. I can assure you though that this will be the only one of my events without one. (Remember also that ABA allows one throw-out event...so you can fish five and still make the TOC in October.)

I got word today that the ramp at Bidwell will be ready for the Stren event. Unfortunately, probably not in time for my first event on the 11th.

My staff and I will make every effort to launch and load all the teams as quickly and safely as we can. Please allow extra time to launch in the morning for this first event.

I appreciate any and all suggestions from the anglers. Feel free to call me or shoot me an e-mail for water/ramp updates.

Thanks guys,
