Top Stick Castaic Special Announcement

Post by DL »

With all the curve balls being thrown at the tournament community, I thought I would throw one of my own.

After a few phone calls and discussions, we have decide to elmiminate the cherry picking option from the FIRST event of the season, AND relax the deposit requirement for the FIRST event of the season. If you would like to fish my first event at Castaic to "Test Drive" the Top Stick Tour, you do not need a deposit nor do you need to pay the Cherry picker option. This is only for the first event at Castaic, so both the cherry picker option and the deposit requirement will be in effect for the remainder of the season. By this I mean: If you fish the first event and then wish to fish the rest of the season, you will need to pay a pro-rated deposit for final 4 events to avoid paying the cherry picker option. Don't forget that you need to fish four events to be eligible for the TOC at Santa Margarita Lake later this year, which should be as good or better than 2 years ago. If I confused anyone, which I may have done, call me and I will explain it to you on the phone..its easier to speak it than write it..

We have also eliminated our "off-limits" period so you can practice all you want for all five events this season. You still need to be a member of Top Stick and I can email you the forms if you wish, or they can be found at the CFF website in my sig line.

If you have any other questions regarding this event or any others, call me.

I like your efforts Daren. Sounds like Topstick wants customers. Unfortunately 3 of 5 are on top of FLW events. Maybe next year?

John tried to avoid all conflicts when he drew the permits. Notice how we didnt have an event in march, which was laden with upper level Pro Ams.. We'll hopefully avoid all conflicts next year..

There is still time to get your entry in for this weekend. No cherry picker fee and no deposit required to fish the Castaic event.

PS Eddy, we are still heavy on the co-angler side.

DL what are the odds of extending this offer (no cherry picking fee) to the Hodges event?

Most likely not good. For the simple fact that as an organization, if we bounce around changing the rules from month to month, we create an evironment for you guys that is inconsistent. I understand that relaxing the rule for the first event is doing exactly that, but WON Bass pulled the plug on the southern pro ams so we decided to allow anglers to fish one event without having to pay that fee or the deposit to fish the first event..

Good call Daren. Even though I do not like the rule
Topstick is doing it right. Make a rule, stand by it.
