Re: DELTA BITE ?
HELP??? Geeze, the bite couldn't be any better right now!! Been hammering them all week. Bust'n hooks, cull'n 5's and 6's....hands are torn up from handling all the fish. Alarm clock sounds.......sorry, dreamin' here. Time to wake up!!
Actually, went out today and finally got a bite and a fish!!!! Felt pretty good about it too!!!
Who knows about the storm, always seems to liven up the bite a little. Good luck if you head out!

This storm will help the bite just like the last one did. It's time to tie on those Wadda Jigs and Hang on. I think this storm will turn the Jig bite on Big time...............

I was out as the last storm was moving in, caught a limit in about an hour or so..5 fish 16 lbs...not the greatest but a decent limit for late January as it was.

Re: DELTA BITE ?
Just got in from a day on the Delta..Launched at Russos and stayed in and around Franks..Caught fish on reaction baits early in the day, then went to slower presentations and caught more..I actually caught my biggest bass on the Delta today, no, it wasn't a double digit, but it was still the largest I have caught there at a little over 5 1/2 pounds..my limit for the day would have weighed around 14 pounds, not great by any stretch, but a hell of a lot better than last Tuesday..Water temps ranged from 49 up to 52..No wind out there today, overcast most of the day, overall a great day for fishing..

Got out today for a few short hours to play with the new boat. First time in two months, exciting, only got to stripers rippin.
Water temp was 50-51, beautiful day though.

Re: DELTA BITE ?
WHG,
The storm is definitely helping the bite.
Mac and i went out Wed and we both caught quality fish using basic reaction and plastic worm tactics.
The reason i know its due to the storm coming is:
a) last week we fished basically the same way, same structure, and got ZERO bites. When we talked to guys at the ramp, everyone had the same story - only 1 guy out of 5 even had a bite, including striper guys.
b) At the ramp yesterday, everyone said they caught fish. ist time this year i have heard that.
Thursday and Friday are likely gonna be good fishing days too, but by the weekend blue bird skies and cool temps are going to be back, so be ready for a tough bite again!
