Seaguar Red Label

Post by Marty »

I was in Colorado for work this week and for a good time I when to Bass Pro Shop – it was a wild time for a guy like me!

Anyway, I came across this Seaguar Red Label that is 100% fluorocarbon and only cost $11.99 a spool. I pick up two spools of 20 lb that was 175 yards of line that was .016 DIA and one spool of 15 lb that was 200 yards of line that was .013 DIA. I asked while I was at the Denver Bass Pro Shop if all BPS will carry this Seaguar Red Label at this price and they said yes.

That is a good price for 100% fluorocarbon but I wondering if it is the same as their regular line? Has anyone heard of this Red Label?

Plus I received a 10% military discount – I wonder if the Bass Pro Shop here in California also gives a 10% military discount?

Remember the old saying---you get what you pay for.
I've used it and found it lacking. I broke off several fish that shouldn't have come of. Its like the Berkley Flouro before they changed the formula.

I picked up a spool of 15lb at the Manteca BPS. Haven't used it yet, but just spooled up a reel yesterday to try out this weekend. At $11.99 I had to give it a try for myself.

I haven't heard anything good about the red label for anything under the 15 or 17 lb range
