Clear Lake Inspection?

Post by Murph »

I'm going to need an inspection this coming Sunday and I was just wondering what I might do to help things along. My boat hasn't been in the water since Mid-November and that was at Lake Powell. Are these inspections done at the Tackle Shops or do you have to get a hold of a Fish and Game person? Thanks, Murph

I would be happy tp set up an inspection at my shop (Tackle It) or my house. If your boat has been out of the water for over 45 days it does not need to be inspected just re-stickered.

is there a fee for the inspection and/or sticker? If so, how much and what other places can it be done?

I got my boat inspected on Friday at Bob's tackle in the keys. No problem.

Murph,
Take Ed up on his offer. He will make sure you get what you need, and get you on the water. He is the owner of Tackle It. They stay late, adjust their hours during large tournaments (and dont jack prices for hot baits) and he is a good guy. If you ask him real nice he will tell ya the real deal on the recent hot bite as well. While you are up here, if you want to get together let me know.

Just had Bob Higgins at Limit Out inspect my boat and it came out of the Delta less than a week ago.

Delta is not considered a "watch" lake so I just filled out the form he gave me in less than 5 minutes, paid the $10 fee and he gave me the 2009 Inspection Stickers to put next to my CF numbers.

Easy deal and all the other tackle shops at the lake do it too.

I've added Ed's number to my contacts. I'll just get the inspection and my license, hopefully at the same time on Sunday morning, and then take a look at the 'ole Pond. I just watched the Kennedy Bassmaster's show, so I ain't Jacked up or anything.
