unless all of us get off our butts and start actually saying FU to banks, corporations etc. we will have no more fishing. Open up your eyes folks our economy is crumbling like a house of cards and the only PEOPLE to actually stop this is us. If you choose to IGNORE it then suffer the consequences! We need a revolution in this country!

Better yet, join the Tea party movement (I saw a report on it on tv the other night) and send Fed's a IOU on this years tax's like they are sending us a IOU, as we have no money, just like they say they don't. Should work both ways, RIGHT ?? Fat Chance. Bill K
you brought up a sore subject. Thats why you didn't get many responses. Most people want to put their heads in the sand and think it will go away, well it isn't going away any time soon. This stuff has hurt 90% of the normal working person in some way or other. I think we are in for a wild ride, but in the end I think we will come out of it ok. Its just going to take awhile thats all.
Most people think the second ammendment was establsihed for militias way back in the day. But when they asked Thomas Jefferson about it he said it was because governments get corupt with power and allowing the people to be armed allowed for a citizen organized revolution. With all that has happened in the last few years it seems as though the revolution theory is on the rise. Washington DC is becoming filled with coruption. Here in CA we have seen coruption running rampant where party ties are more important than the people they represent.
I do have a solution to the problem. It is a simple one. Come next election do not vote for any incumbants. Take these career politicians out of office. Lets get some people in office that care about us and our issues. To hell with all the political correctness that has become a stable of politics these days, leave the PC at home and come to work for the people that voted you in. All in all vote for someone new, maybe they wont be corupt like the people that are in there now are.
Yeah Bro you R right! I am just darn tired of it. Friends, Family etc all hurting.
Reminds me of a southpark episode when shi$ was hitting the fan in their town and there was a big rush for sand and shovels (trucked in from out of town) so all the adults in southpark could hurry up and bury their heads in the sand hoping that the disaster would go away as the KIDS just watched in disbelief ~blink~ ~blink~
This is not about being a wus and complaining and sucking it up until it is over, this is about Big Business (BANKS) and Government (LOBBYISTS) hurting folks and getting away with it. You and your family are always in our prayers

The real problem is this is no longer a government representing the best interests of the people.
The government is in it for themselves and those that run the government aren't the people. Money runs this country, and banks control the money. So in turn banks run this country.
I don't think any of us really want to to know what is behind our government. Its scary. Who knows what the reality is? We are made to believe all things the government says or does are true but its completely controlled by the special interests of individuals.
Its disgusting.
Just look up operation Northwoods. Now that is what scares me.
And you have to laugh when you hear the bankers and mortgage brokers say it's the homeowner's fault for taking out a sub prime loan in the first place.
Right, like they know more than the Professionals in the industry whose job it is to know, and who got rich off the sub prime market.
And now there are a ton of Senators and Congressmen sticking up for the "poor" bankers, making it impossible for homeowners who are upside down from getting any help, while the banks that screwed them over get billions.
I think they ought to revise all the sub prime mortgages to the actual, current value of the home, make the interest rate affordable so people can afford to stay in their homes and keep making their mortgage payments, and let the banks, and the mortgage brokers, take the hit. And the international investors, who stood in line to buy those derivitives when they thought they'd get fat on them.
At least the banks would know what their "toxic" assets were worth, and could move on, instead of being unable/unwilling to lend money to each other because they don't trust each other.
I wonder why?

I agree with John,if we keep the same career Politition's in Washington we are going to have the same result's.
I just love it when you here guy's like Biden say"Well it was the last President's fault".Well I say your the dummy that like's to remind everyone how long you have been in office so what the hell are you accomplishing.
And answer this for me.Why in the hell did Obama approve in his new budget 1.8 million to figure out why Pig's in Iowa STINK.
I t's going to be a long summer.Down here in the Monterey area I have seen so many new houses put on hold and I'm talking about 10-20 million dollor houses that these super rich people are building but all there money is tied up in the Stock Market.
These are job's that are graded and all the permit's were issued and contract's signed. Now these poor Contractor's are scrambleing becouse they thought they would be on these job's for 2-3 year's.
Oh well I will be at Nacimiento in morning so it will be a good day.
Ok in regards to the LA/San Francisco croud... There is nothing we can do about those people, most are useless. However, there is approximately 36,553,215 people in CA. 3,849,378 live in LA and 744,041 in San Fran. This leaves it up to the rest of us 31,959,796 honest, realistic people to clean house. There is nothing worse than having a system of checks and balances that never checks and never balances. The best we can hope for is that all of the people work together those who areworking or not working or who are working less (I worked 1 day this week) stand up for what we beleive in and what we want. There is only one way to express yourself in this situation and that is to vote out the old and lets try something new. So stand strong CA anglers and bio-enviormentalist will have to hold hands and be unified in our fight to reclaim CA for the good people who live here and work here. Oh yea and remeber NO INCUMBANTS at the next election.

I respectfully disagree. People that got into these mortages should have done their research and known what they were getting into. How is it fair that taxpayers have to bail out a bunch of people that gambled that their housing prices would continue to rise? I did not purchase a home during the housing boom because I couldn't afford the payments. Why should my tax money go to someone who bought more house than they could afford? I do agree with you that the banks are to blame as well and hold some responsibility...but noone forced anyone to sign for any of these loans
