Tournament for Charity

Post by need_a_kicker »

:?:

Good Evening,

There has been something weighing on my heart for awhile now and I know that there are alot of tournament fisher people out here. Anyhow, I have been wanting to see about doing a tournament for charity for the Valley Teen Ranch (VTR) out of Madera. I figured maybe $25.00 a person and that would include the tournament and maybe a BBQ. All of the proceeds would be donated to the VTR, so there would really be no money to be won, but some good fellowhip woud be done.

I have never put anything like this together, but feel like I am being lead to help them out. What are the thoughts of people out here? Would you be interested in helping these kids out?

I you do not think that this is good idea, please let me know.

Thanks,

Kicker

Have you looked into getting any local sponsors like the tackle shops or big stores to help donate tackle and prizes maybe a raffle. What lake are you planning too fish at & are you limiting it to a 50 boat feild. One of the local bass clubs my help you out you might contact one of the 3 bass clubs in the area. A permit from the dfg if you have a date set to hold the tournament.
