Desperate and need a Job!

I wish I could add something positive. I've sent out close to 100 resumes, with not one response! I guess loyalty (2 jobs in the last 14 years, the only reason there's 2 is cause I moved) and hard work ain't enough these days.

Hang in there, there are a lot of us in the same boat.

Most of my experience is in Towing. Worked for a 3A contract station for 12 years. If you've never done it, there's a little more to it than meets the eye. It can be brutal at times.
Last gig I worked as a parts associate for a body shop.
I also worked as plumber, mostly re piping homes in the San Jose area for 5 years before I got back into Towing.
So no real "skill". Guys like me are a penny a dozen right now. Plus I'm reaching the 50 year mark. I was able to dig ditches pretty good, ain't happening now, at least not for long

I did get a little good news today-finally got a little help from the fed's for me and my daughters Cobra payment. Sorry it has to fall on the back of everyone fortunate enough to be working. Real helpful now, hope it's not just prolonging the agony!

I'm in the Sacramento area.

I just wanted to say "Thank You" very much to this great bass fishing community for all the help and concern and leads regarding my job search. You guys have gone out of your way to help me and I am following every lead I have been given. Thank you.
As a single dad of one little boy,(6yrs) bass fishing has been our number one passion so this is why I reached out to the family that is close to us. We have no other family or relatives alive anymore. We just wanted to say thanks and God bless to Everyone here... ken
