roseville concerned fisherman commments
I want to say to the concerned fisherman that I don't disagree with your comments on the reports page about the folsom lake future pro tournament I think people do prefish with the intent of just catching fish. You must remember that most of these guys are new to tournaments, and are just fishing before a tournament then calling it (pre fishing). As far as a cut off for thursday allot of these teams can't get off three days before an event so friday is what they get I know it sucks to have the water beat up on friday just to try to fish on saturday, to find that your bite has changed but in the title you will find future pro in that as a pro you will have to deal with your bite changing all the time. So this is a good way to be on your game and learn to adapt to the changes even if its people fishing your area. As for Vince not having tube's up there to hold fish he hired the live release boat and they flaked and not for the first time. This is were learning how to take care of your fish coming to weigh-in is importrnt keep ice in your boat for keeping those fish alive and healthy keep a product like rejuvinate in your live well. I only saw about three boats with a stay alive supplement in there boat. Not to beat a dead horse but this is all part of becoming a pro fisherman don't blame Vince for what these anglers don't know I will make sure that Vince has someone talking about fish care at clearlake but you can't force these teams to listen they all think that if they turn there livewells on the fish are fine. Stress is the leading killer of this resource ice, salt, and rejuvinate are all just as important as running your livewell. I can tell you with pride that I have not had any dead fish in my last three years of tournament fishing (knock on wood). But not for lack of trying somtimes you deep hook a fish or you have brain farts and forget to turn on the recurce pump so I understand. It is your responsibility to take care of your fish not the tournament directors just ask mike icconelli.
