I always seem to have bent plastic str8 tail worms (roboworms) no watter what container, temperature, hot or cold. they'll just get bent. Then again, the smallest bend annoys me. a little off center and I'll notice it right away.
Am I alone on having a "pet peeve" on this or do I just need to let this go?
Thanks
Am I alone on "messed" up straight tail worms?

I used to have the same problem. I started salting my worms down and making sure that they are straight in the box and this has helped.
I always make sure they are straight after I get home from a trip also.

If they bug ya, cull them crooked ones out.
Use them for practice fishing days, or give a big handful of crooked worms to a kid who wants to go fishing.
One time I bought a big bag of 100 fluke type blems over the internet. Thought it was a deal. They would not act in a random darting action. Each one had a different bend or twist, that made them twist line, and instead give a repeat action every twitch. Pretty much worthless for what I wanted to do. Gave them away to the striper guys that ran em on leadheads.

Boil them. Bring a large pot of water to boiling, turn off and put the crooked worms in the water for a few minutes. Take the hot worms out of the water with tongs and lay straight on a flat surface ( utting board works) and let cool.
Store the longer worms in plastic boxes with trays that have compartments longer than the worms.
Add attractant scent as you use the worms in a large zip lock bag, don't store worms with attractant scents on them, some will stiffen them.

You not have seen anything about this pet peeve until you have traveled with Justin Lucas. He hates a crooked worm lol.... but it seems to work check out his career.

Some of you may remember the late Dick Trask, possibly the best plastic worm fishermen ever. Dick always boiled his worms, to soften and straighten, before fishing with them. Sometimes it's the small details that give you an edge.
