We caught over 100 fish with the biggest(dad Caught) a 3.50 spot and I caught a 2.75 pound spot. a lot of small fish, but easy to get a limit. Fun Deal at Melones.

Easy to get a limit. You do realize that a keeper is 13 inches.

I'll put money that over half the field from the Northern division does not catch a limit. And if this was a seperate pay out for Northern and Central I would think that 3 or 4 fish could get you a check on the Northern side. So Why is this not a seperate tournament and pay we are seperate Divisions?

I'm sure this is a good lake but I have no desire to see it again. LOL.

If you can't catch a limit at Melones right now you better quit fishing tourneys. I was back 3 days last week cause I kept catching limits of 5 lb +/- spots all day and lost count of the 2 lbers. The fishing is fantastic.

Not afraid of getting my butt kicked by Northern Boys since I am in a Northern boy. And by the looks of it I have kicked your butt the last two tournaments. All Fun! I was not at the 1st one my partner was and my boat broke down on him at Markley cove before the tournament and he had to trailer it and get back over to pleasure cove and fish on the trolling motor so we sucked *** at that event.

I would love to know how your catching them. LOL. Guess I suck and need to stop fishing tournies. So do a bunch of the top 20 teams on the northern side do to. Since they are struggling also to catch a limit but hey there just my buddies. Maybe there not telling the whole truth. Like I said in my previous post "I'm sure this is a good lake." But I'm sure having one day of pre fishing doesn't help. Caught a 100 fish and 95 of them where 5 to 12 inches. I threw everything I had at them. LOL

Some of you guys that sucked at prefishing will probably wack them. Some fo you guys that wacked them will weigh six pounds for five.This place changes daily (hmmm, like every other lake). The lake is full of fish but they are on the move. I caught fish from 1 to 60 feet today and I will tell you it was nothing close to what Wally caught. I am pretty sure if you have 12 pounds in your well you should be happy. And that is the Melones truth.

Remember all the huge weights during pre-fish at Folsom? They were all gone on Tournament day it seemed. I think this will be an interesting tournament! Sounds like it should be fun for those fishing it as well! Have fun and be safe out there! Best of luck to everyone fishing.
