Where would you fish on monday?

Post by bunktheclown »

Hey guys, Just moved here from Oregon ,and finally got my boat registered. I have monday off and will be heading out for my first Nor Cal bass trip. I would like to stay close but still have a productive day. So on that note where would you go? I have a 14'6" boat so the wind will be a big factor. Thanks in advance!!!

Bullards Bar?

Went to bullards on Monday, got there around 10am as I took the family. Launched at dark day and ran up a bit trying to find a sandy spot to beach the boat and let the family out to swim etc. I had no idea that lake was that DEEP!! The deepst I have ever fished before that was around 30 ft on the rivers in Oregon. I tried senko's , shakey heads, topwater, dropshots, craw baits, crankbaits for no fish. I did mark what I thought was a couple schools of fish on my finder in the 60-65ft range off of a couple points. Are these bass? As a nor cal newbie can someone give me a couple of tips or point me to articles on fishing bullards?

Thanks!!

Are you guys serious about Bullards or are you just yankning this poor guy?!

I know it's loaded with spots, but I've only heard of a handful of fish over a lb, just hundreds of 10" clones.
